The lesson also includes differentiation by colour (red=least challenging up to green=most challenging) and a table to fill out. Please feel free to ask any questions :)

Weimar and Nazi Germany Edexcel 9-1 Walking-talking mock (Exam technique)

(0)
This PPT is designed to be used as part of a walking-talking mock (it would be good to have an exam paper in front of the students when delivering it) for the Edexcel Weimar and Nazi Germany 9-1 paper. It gives tips on how to structure answer each exam-style question which appears on the paper and useful guidance on what to do/avoid. There is differentiation on the structure of the final question. This PPT is useful to share with students when first informing them about the structure of this exam or during revision periods in preparation for the exam. Please ask if you have any questions :) Good luck with the exams!

Here is a table designed to encourage students to assess the advantages and disadvantages of a range of sources in preparation for the Historic Environment part of the Edexcel 9-1 exam. The modelling has been directed at the medicine through time course but it can easily be adapted and used for any of the topics. It is particularly useful for helping with the 4-mark ‘follow-up’ questions.

Rounds include picture/information round, anagrams, blockbusters, quickfire and taboo! I used this lesson with my Y13s and they really enjoyed it as well as got a lot from it.
