This is a fully resourced lesson to help my A-Level students to gain an understanding of the importance of narrator within the text. The lesson is structured to help them to plan a written essay which will help them to write at a higher academic level. The planning sheet provided helps studetns to break down what is important in their writing and to construct a well-written response to an exam-style question.

The lesson introduces students to the different types of narrators. It then moves on to look at an exam-style question which has a written example of how to write an effective essay at an A-Level standard. In addition to this, there is a break-down of the mark scheme to help students to understand what they need to do to achieve their desired marks.
