For Christmas / End of term or any time! The Ultimate KS3 Spanish Quiz! For any time, no fuss continental fun. This quiz is a whirlwind tour through the curriculum, perfect for a bit of a start of term warm-up, or end of end term wind-down. The quiz is light-hearted and amusing, multiple choice, interactive and focused on all areas of the KS3 curriculum. The rounds include: What’s happening? - Common verbs Listen Up! - Listening round with links to short, Spanish listening video clips What’s cooking? Spanish food and ‘in the kitchen’ round. Where’s the dog? - Prepositions round Loud and clear! - Comprehension listening round (again with video clips) Lucky Dip - A round with a mix of fun and challenging questions The preview images show a few examples from each round. UPDATED - For Christmas 2024 / End of term or any time! The Ultimate Science Quiz - new, mega quiz for end of year or any time . Fun and silly (but also challenging) for secondary science. A huge range of questions with something to cater for every student’s tastes - 10 rounds covering a wide variety of fun and amusing subjects and topics, all linked to science. It’s not easy - but there are rounds for everyone, so all students will feel involved. There are 100 questions in all - the images shown are a preview of just a few from each round. The quiz is easy to use, interactive and editable. It’s designed for secondary students. You could tweak it for upper KS2 if you wished - but it is challenging. I really hope you enjoy this, I enjoyed making it and tried to make it funny so teachers would enjoy using it too. End of Year Escape Room A fun and educational history escape room, centred around ancient Egypt and the mysterious disappearance of a missing artifact. Work against the clock to solve the mystery before the dawn of the winter solstace, practicing history skills, critical thinking skills, teamwork and much more. Created with a target age of 11 to 14, this challenging escape room should provide a fun and educational end-of-year activity for your students! Set in the ancient Egypt exhibit at the British Museum, the escape room requires the students to follow a set of clues in their quest to find a missing scroll, believed to contain the secrets of the ancient Egyptian sun god, Ra. Professor Evelyn Westwood, the renowned archaeologist who discovered it, has vanished under mysterious circumstances, and the scroll has gone with her. By solving a collection of puzzles, your students will be guided from room to room on their quest to find a sacred missing artifact, the lost scroll of Ra. While the escape room is intended to be challenging, there is a great deal of support available to help your students in their quest, including explainer videos and animated hints/solutions that can accessed on the main PowerPoint. Perfect for a fun tutor time activity, to be completed over the course of a week, or as a fun lesson before the Christmas holidays.

The pack includes: History Skills Introduction - A fun Year 7 History lesson which can be used either on a transition day or in the first week at secondary school as an introduction to history. The lesson focuses on familiarising students with the key skills they will be using throughout history lessons in KS3- source analysis, source comparison, chronology and literacy through history (spag and essay skills). It includes engaging teamwork tasks, fact-finding activities and lots of introduction to new key terms. History Skills - Evidence. A detailed and well-differentiated, editable history lesson all about how to assess evidence / sources for usefulness, with PowerPoint and accompanying worksheets. It’s editable and very easy to pick up and run with. The lesson lasts one hour and is very easy to just pick up and use. The lesson is best suited to Year 7 (but could be used with an older, perhaps lower ability group as a refresher) . The download includes: a one hour PowerPoint, a variety of activities, worksheets, clip tasks and more. History Skills - The Ice Man. A detailed and well differentiated, editable history skills lesson with a focus on the importance of using evidence. This hour long lesson (with PowerPoint, clips and worksheets) was created for Year 7 (but could be used with a different group) to illustrate the importance of source work as historians (and those working in archeology) in order to gain a detailed picture of the past. The lesson focuses on the story of the Ice Man and how he died and came to be buried and preserved he was. Students will use evidence to create a detailed profile of the Ice Man’s last days and explore the artifacts he left behind and the clues left for historians to decipher. History Skills - Pompeii. A detailed and well differentiated, editable history skills lesson with a focus on the importance of using evidence. This hour long lesson (with PowerPoint, clips and worksheets) could be used with any KS3 group to illustrate the importance of source work as historians (and those working in archeology) in order to gain a detailed picture of the past. The lesson focuses on the story of the Pompeii and the evidence left behind that historians have pieced together to create an accurate view of the disaster. Students will use evidence to create a detailed profile of the last days of Pompeii and explore the site left behind and the clues left for historians to decipher.
