Sociology GCSE - Social Inequality
This is a full lesson on the beginning of the social inequality topic. It covers the sociological perspectives and also identifies social class classification scale. By the end of the lesson, students will understand these topics.
I personally used this for an observation lesson and was only required to add more stretch & challenge - to do this, I suggest using an A Level text book or a sociological journal on the topic area. Naturally, I couldn't include that in this lesson.
The full lesson, with worksheets and information sheets have been included.
Please feel free to rate and comment.
This lesson is fully customizable and can be adapted to suit the learners needs.
All activities are included as part of this lesson, although it may be good to use a text book in support. The lesson is designed for any resources you might have on this area to also be able to be used.
It's the full topic range, with activities, for A2 research methods. This is part 1 of an introduction to this module.

This was a lecture delivered to FE students on Natural Moral Law as part of the Religious Studies A Level.
There is a quick activity that is also part of the lesson but is easy to adapt out of it. Equally, this lecture could easily be adaptable to all specs in RS and some Moral Philosophy but was originally taught as part of an AQA A Level RS.
This is a writing frame produced to develop the AO2 written skills of students studying Religious Studies (and its derivatives) at A Level.
If you would like some ideas of how to deploy this in a lesson, please do get in contact.
This is a full lesson that includes all the activities, a lesson plan, differentiated material (both for weaker and stronger students) and helps go through content of theories of family in the context of an essay question. There’s plenty of assessment for learning throughout.
This lesson was successfully deployed several times as a 20min mini teach (this is reflected in the lesson plan) but has been planned and produced as an entire lesson.
The theories included are New Right, Feminism, Functionalism and Marxism. There’s information sheets and structured worksheets for note taking and there is also a university journal for gifted and talented students relevant to the material.
This lesson is fully adaptable to fit all styles of teaching and can be scaled down for GCSE also.
Please be sure to comment your opinion on the lesson.

This lesson is fully customizable and can also be seperated into two lessons (depending on length of allocated time).
The first part of the lesson covers the Sociology AS Research Methods AQA Spec looking at Experiments whilst the second part looks at surveys and sampling in the same spec.
There are two worksheets attached to this lesson which can be used to help pupils structure notes. You will need to use a textbook to support learning in this area - however, if you already have resources then they would accompany this lesson also.
If you have any issues, please let me know. Other wise, enjoy the lesson and please rate and comment.
This is a whole lesson planned for revising the content of the topic of God whilst also focusing on essay writing. Written as part of AQA scheme of work but easily adaptable to other exam boards.
Included is a writing frame (normally sold separately) which helps students structure their essays. - This is a differentiation tool.
This lesson was used by myself as part of a formal observation and is OFSTED ready.
It's fully customizable and also employs paired and group work. Use of ICT is good, it also has quirky Star Wars characters in it which can be edited out. The background is winter themed - again, easily changed and content remains the same.
This a revision lesson that is planned over the course of two and a half hours.
Each information sheet is used STRICTLY for revision and to jog the memory of students. This should be used in conjunction with their notes, textbooks and other resources given to them by the teacher.
The PowerPoint is basic and ready to be adapted and designed how the teacher wants - some institutions like a uniform design. The timers and sounds are programmed in as there is a change every 15mins.
Although not on the PowerPoint, this lesson should end with a quick assessment of the teachers design to check progress.
This is a work pack for Gender, Sexuality and Religious Studies. It’s based on the AQA A Level and can be deployed as part of lessons, or as a revision pack for differentiated learning.
