Spring Themed Sensory Story/Poem and activities for SEND/PMLD

Rhyming Sensory Poem/Story on the theme of Spring The activities in this unit of work are interactive and promote learners’ understanding of spring through sensory and communication activities. The resources contain some real photographs so are appropriate for learners of older ages but can equally be used with younger children. Some are illustrations, but I believe could still be used with older age groups. All the activities are easy to deliver and simple to resource. They will not require extensive looking for equipment/items as most are in cupboards and around homes. Unit Contents Sensory Story in WORD and Powerpoint format. The powerpoint includes picture slides. Photo pack in PDF format using the images from the powerpoint. Further photo pack showing winter /spring images (setting the scene pictures) Prompt Sheet containing ideas for how the story could be used for different activities and the things that are needed Flower colouring template Weather Bingo Symbols and matching Literacy matching cards Planting seeds instructions
