Library Activity Cards & Reading Records

(0)
Library Activity Cards & Reading Records Help to keep even the most reluctant students engaged in Library lessons with these activity cards. Avoid a situation where a student disrupts your library lesson because they just can’t focus by giving them a task card. Each of the eight cards contains eight different activities to give them a brief movement break when needed. Once they’re done, they can get right back to their book! They can be given quietly to targeted students, or placed in a central area where all students can help themselves when they are struggling to focus. The activities are in the style of a scavenger hunt so will also help learners become familiar with the library setting and systems. Bonus! In addition to the eight activity cards, you will get seven versions of a reading record. As well as recording what’s been read across the week, these are ideal for the last five minutes of a weekly Library/Reading Lesson. In addition to recording what’s been read, there is space for students to complete an activity, encouraging them to focus on their book during the lesson. Colours of the rainbow have been used to highlight differentiation. This saves you having to hunt for the right sheet for each student/class - just glance at the colour at the top. The closer to the top of the rainbow it is, the more complex the skill required to complete the reading activity. These sheets can be used in class or as homework. In this bundle, you will get: eight activity cards, each containing eight different tasks seven copies of a reading record, each with a different activity at the bottom to enable targeted/differentiated work in a quick and easy format
