Pupils must look carefully at the sentences to check if the apostrophes for omission have been put in the correct place for a variety of contracted words. This exemplar instructional text “How to Trick the Twits” is perfect to use as a WAGOLL when studying The Twits. The instructions are based on the trick that Muggle-Wump the monkey plays on Mr and Mrs Twit at the end of the book.
