This sheet is cleverly designed to encourage students to sort the information into the 4 categories of drugs. I used it to guide students to create their own warning leaflet against drugs. The keywords are highlighted which makes it easier for students to sort through the information.

This worksheet is for students learning about 3D shapes and their properties. The students must specify the number of faces, edges and vertices each shape has. Additionally, this introduces the idea of prisms and the student is asked to select the shapes which are prisms.

This worksheet teaches the student the respiratory system and its functions. The student must name the parts of the lungs and explain how the breathing system works. This is ideal for students who can't read/ write a lot of information at once, this worksheet breaks it up for them.

I used this with my behaviour management system, with older pupils. The ladder is rated 1 - 10 (10 is highest), the teacher rates how well the pupils behaved in the lesson and mark on a check card, when the check card is filled, they earn a reward (either individual or with the class).

This is a traffic light where you write what the students should achieve by the end of the lesson, they circle the red/orange/green traffic light to assess where they are holding. Then they see what they have learnt over the lesson.

This washing line activity is really fun for years 3 and 4. I used it to teach hundreds tens and units. I hung the flashcards on the washing line, asked questions about the numbers (included) and allowed every child to have a chance to answer. The children loved it!

This story plan guides a student to plan a short story about the playground. The student writes their ideas in the appropriate boxes and then can easily put it together.

This poster should be hung in the math room to show students how to present their work neatly in their books. This prevents all the questions, like where does the title go, I don't have space on my page....

This story plan guides students to write a story about the town. The student just fills in the boxes and it gets their imagination going. When they are done they have most of the story easily written.

This activity is helpful when you are teaching perimeter and area of triangles, trapeziums and parallelograms. Each group prepares a poster on the rules of their shape and then presents it to the class. This took most of the lesson and they all knew the rules by the end of the lesson.

This is the test I gave the lower ability students in the Year 8 class. It first covers material on the Year 7 syllabus and then goes onto the Year 8 syllabus. The questions are set out clearly and accurately.

This slideshow takes 5 minutes. It can be used at the start of the lesson when reviewing the names of angles, the students write the correct name on their whiteboard and show it up to the teacher. This shows the teacher who grasped the topic.

These worksheets break up percentage calculations - first they divide numbers into 10 or 5%, then they calculate small numbers and then they apply it to practical problems.

This is an incentive system, which may be more beneficial for older students. The teacher can award the child when they work well and the child colours in a footprint. Students enjoy seeing their own progress.
