Entry Level 1 Writing Workbook The workbook contains 3 explanation pages, 11 worksheets, two progress checks, a certificate of achievement and answers. Tasks and activities include: Identifying and using capital letters for proper nouns Correcting the use of capital letter in sentences Writing simple sentences using capital letters appropriately Entry Level 1 Writing Workbook The tasks and activities have been designed to achieve the following learning outcomes: to participate in and understand the main points of simple discussions/exchanges about familiar topics with another person in a familiar situation. to take part in and contribute to a discussion in a small group. to understand the main points of short explanations. to understand and follow instructions. to respond appropriately to comments and requests. to ask simple questions to obtain specific information. to make simple requests. There are eighteen speaking and listening tasks. Entry Level 1 Spelling Workbook This resource contains a 25 page spelling practice workbook. It contains all the words that students are expected to both read and spell correctly. The spellings have been compiled from the Entry 1 word lists specified by DfE and provided in Appendix 2 of the Functional Skills Entry Level English (Entry 1) Qualification and Assessment Specification. Tasks include practising spelling the words using the look, say, cover, write method: inserting the correct word into a sentence and composing simple sentences using words in the list. The resource also contains a checklist for recording students’ ability to read and spell all of the words. Entry Level 1 Spelling Test Booklet This resource contains a 25 page spelling test booklet.
