Task 3 - Involves pupils writing a short paragraph about a character. These worksheets are ideal to give pupils practice at using capital letters and full stops in their writing to reinforce and consolidate this skill. It clearly explains what the ellipsis is, its functions in writing and how to use ellipses correctly in writing. Many examples are provided. Opportunities are also provided for pupils to explain why the ellipsis has been used. Students are also asked to shorten quotations and compose their own sentences containing ellipses about several striking images.
