This is a fun way to engage your students and have them rotate between partners. To make this getting to know you activity more exciting I created a space that was film based. Partners took it turns in interviewing the other and recording their answers. I also had students work in small groups of 4 and playing with the cards in a make shift go fish style. Lots of fun was had all round! I have put together a quick chart to show where your student is at on their guided reading level. Depending on what your school uses to assess reading level will depend on what is used. However the 3 most popular are; DRA, Guided Reading and Lexile. This list shows by grade up to grade 4.
