While these cards are ideal for a literacy center they can also be given as home work tasks. These cards are an ideal accompaniment to teaching inference and to enhance students writing skills. For differentiation I have included two worksheets to be completed alongside the cards if you don’t want to keep printing them out. Along with the answer key I have highlighted cards which are particularly suitable for lower level learners or just as a cards to start with to help their confidence build. Why was there a revolution in Iran in 1979? This simulation exercise will allow your students to find out. The students are asked to take decisions as if they were the Shah of Iran. The choices good or bad are then awarded points and the actual choice the Shah made is explained. Through evaluating the choices and connecting the consequences the students gain a deeper understanding in a fun and interactive way.
