This is a lesson I have created for my Y8 mixed ability group on the topic “Le week-end dernier”. I am using it as part of Module 4 (Dynamo 2 vert textbook) but it doesn’t really appear in the book, we are just doing it as an extra. In this lesson students learn about: Things they did last weekend Using the perfect tense in French The lesson includes a starter task and a variety of activities (genuine short reading, translation, vocab activities, etc). All answers included and embedded in PPT. I teach a mixed-low ability group, therefore the activities are simple and easy to follow. It includes a vocab sheet. This lesson could also be used as cover. Please note that I am not a French native speaker and my knowledge of French is intermediate. If you spot any mistakes you can let me know and I am always happy to amend and re-upload the resource. The resource is also editable so that you can make any changes you want.

I have done this quiz to test my form's knowledge of European Countries. Fifteen countries will be shown highlighted in a map of Europe and they have to guess what country is it. Includes answers.

Document with all the different question words in Spanish for you to print and display in your class. It looks really pretty and colourful once is done! :)

This is a homework booklet that I have created for my year 7 Spanish group based on the textbook Viva 1 (Módulo 2). I always struggle with marking homework, so I thought this could be an easy way for students to do homework and it is very easy for them to mark (while I am doing the register, for example). I also think it is important to differentiate homework as not all students can cope with the same activities. This is why I thought of this system. In my school, we have a points system. If students do nice things, they get points and at the end of the year the students with the most points get different rewards. With this homework booklet, students can earn points by doing more. Each page relates to one unit of the book and it has at least (some have more) three activities: · The activities with a blue star are the easiest and they are worth one achievement point (as we call them). · The activities with a green star are a bit more challenging and are worth two points. · The activities with a yellow star (aim at different abilities) are extra, students complete them only if they want to. They are worth one point. Obviously the more activities they do at home the more points they can get. Attached with this resource you will find the homework booklet (in .ppt and pdf so you can edit things if you want to) and also a ppt with all the answers that you can easily show on the board for students to mark themselves. This is the perfect knowledge organiser that students can use to revise before their writing exam. There is a version for EDEXCEL and a version for AQA. It includes: Information and conjugation about the main GCSE tenses plus a few examples with irregular verbs. Description of the writing exam (edexcel, F and H). Time expressions in past, present and future. AVOCADO ticklist with lots of examples.

I created these exercises in order to make my students practice for the real grammar fill exercise in the AQA exam, as they always struggle to answer this particular type of question. The document includes 3 exercises (with 12 or 15 sentences each) and includes the answers as well. In some cases more than one option is available (and although I have write them down in the mark scheme, there could probably be more possible answers).

This is a booklet of activities I have created for my Year 7/8 Spanish class. I have used it for cover as it is quite self explanatory and includes lots of activities and the vocab.
