‘Bubble’ writing and reading activity, can be used as follows:
Students search the text for the phrases in the bubbles
When they’ve found them, write them in and colour the bubbles
Students then write their own version about their own family (or a famous/fictional family) but they must include the phrases in the bubbles
Once they have used a phrase, they colour the bubble to indicate it’s been used.
To differentiate, some students may have the sentence builder in front of them and some may work from memory.
