Impact of changes of exchange rates (Student-led)

This lesson resource allows students to understand how changes in real exchange rates will have an impact upon their own economy. Its a differentiated kinesthetic task: Students are first given different countries to which they have certain imports and exports. Students then either research or are given exchange rate info (included from 2015 - 2017) in the powerpoint (pre and post BREXIT) Students then calculate the changes in their import costs in their own currency and what their export prices would be in other countries so they can work out their countries competitiveness. This then allows students to understand numerically how minor changes in exchange rates can affect imports costs and export prices. A great resources that I always use to gain 100% student understanding. It also allows for differentiation as lower ability students are given the UK as their country. The purchase contains: Lesson plan, Powerpoint, Student worksheet and country cut outs and imports / exports.

A Level (yr 13) revision guide for WJEC/Eduqas Economics

A Level Economics revision guide (year 13 topics) focuses directly on WJEC Eduqas new A Level specifications from 2015. This revision guide is very student friendly focusing on key areas of every year 13 topic. This guide was originally created for my A Level students with the aim of reducing workload in the build up to summer A Level exams. Secondly, it has been a fantastic resource in class when summarising each topic area, with many students using it in class to help them understand content and referring to when practicing exam questions. This especially helped in the summer term in the build up to A Level exams. The order of topics links directly to the WJEC and Eduqas specifications and the revision guide also contains practice questions at the end for students to test their knowledge. For full A Level coverage this revision guide should be bought with AS and A Level (year 12) revision guide for WJEC and Eduqas. For confidence, this revision guide has been created by a senior examiner with experience examining for two exam boards that has been teaching Economics for over 10 years. The guide has been written specifically for the WJEC and Eduqas A Level but also contains 80% of coverage of all other exam boards so it will be a useful revision guide and topic summary for all exam boards. The picture shows the top part of one of the pages within the guide for reference. There are altogether 112 pages in total in this revision guide.
