Roman numerals matching: converting between ordinary numbers and roman numerals

(1)
This is a great, engaging activity for a lesson on roman numerals. Skills covered are converting from roman numerals to normal numbers and converting from normal numbers to roman numerals up to 100. Great as an assessment for learning activity. There are a total of 16 pairs which students have to match the ordinary numbers with the roman numerals. You can ask students to start with the ordinary numbers and convert to roman numerals, or the other way around, depending on what you are working on. Suggestions for use: Print each set in different colours so they don’t get mixed up laminate for future use Give each student a card and they have to find their matching pair Give a set to students individually for them to match then stick in their books Give to pairs for a collaborative task Have as a station that students move around during lessons. The answers are next to each other on the answer file Find more roman numerals activities here.

Hockey lesson plan - Advanced defending and tackling skills (block, jab and reverse)

(1)
This hockey lesson is a comprehensive lesson plan for defending and tackling skills for more advanced hockey players. It will be most appropriate for teaching to a group with two units of hockey experience e.g. year 9. Skills included: block tackle, jab tackle and reverse stick tackle. This is a non editable lesson plan, if you would like the editable version please purchase my SOW here. This lesson was created to save time for busy teachers and is made so teachers with little/no hockey experience can teach it just as well as those with lots. You should be able to teach a lesson with minimal preparation and I made these so in most cases they can be just picked up and taught. All lessons have levelled outcomes. The levels are the old national curriculum levels 3-8 however they are easily editable and changeable to your own assessment levels. Each lesson has assessment levels, diagrams, links to skill videos, differentiation , clear teaching points and afl opportunities. As well as clear explanations of the tasks. There are no timings included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. They should provide enough tasks for lessons of 40 minutes and above. Rugby World Cup 2019 display (fixtures, pools, results and team shirts)

(0)
This Rugby World Cup 2019 fixture/Score chart is great to display during the Rugby World cup! Students/Teachers can check when Key matches are and fill in the scores as they go. When it comes to the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals the teams can also be filled in. The second page contains the teams in each pool along with their shirt. I would recommend printing this off on A3 - However it does also print fine in A4. Want more Rugby World Cup 2019 resources? Check out my Rugby World Cup 2019 maths activities here.
