The two activities in this lesson are designed to illustrate to pupils the main features of structures using sheet materials.
The first activity shows the names of the main parts of a model house.
The second enables teachers to show pupils how to join sheet materials simply.
Teachers should introduce, explain and discuss the following words and concepts with pupils: door, window, floor, chimney, wall, stairs and roof.
Both activities show a complete model first and teachers should discuss with pupils how to disassemble and then reassemble the product.
This resource pack allows pupils to find differences and similarities between well-known fairy stories. They look at six scenes and characters from six fairy tales and then put them into the correct storybook. Pupils make a chart that compares characters and incidents in fairy tales.
Pupils have the opportunity to make their own fairy tale, adding pictures and text from a large bank of images and props.
This application has been designed to teach pupils to accurately estimate and draw a bearing. The application allows the practice of drawing bearings and the estimation of bearings. This interactive activity gives students the oppurtunity to explore the topics. A worksheet is provided in both PDF and Word.
