I am an experienced English teacher of both Literature and Language, and also Classical Studies at High School level. You will find text-based resources for novels, poetry, plays and film study in my shop for Years 7 - 13. The resources are generic to the text so are suitable for any curriculum. I am also a passionate believer in effective literacy learning hence the emphasis on phonics resources in my shop.

4 page handout for students instructing them on designing a persuasive leaflet using specific language / techniques. The handout presumes the students are familiar with the persuasive and rhetorical devices used in advertising. This resource has been designed as an activity for students to show their understanding of these techniques. An example of a commentary is included that shows the students how to explain one layout feature and one persuasive or rhetorical feature and it’s intended effect on the audience.
