This second in my series of Spanish short stories is entitled El fin del mundo. Find out just how the last day of the planet Earth is going to unfold! This lesson pack employs a poem entitled ‘Madrigal apasionado’ by the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. First, students read the original Spanish version of the poem and complete four tasks. They then read a short informative passage about some of the things to consider when translating a piece of creative writing and complete another four tasks, including listening to a musical rendition of the poem with Spanish guitar.
