Cyber Bullying Awareness: Posters, Task Cards & Activities

(1)
Do you want to educate your students about the dangers of Cyber Bullying? It is a rising problem among teenagers and young people in this age of social media, so this resource will offer your students the opportunity to consider the dangers and effects of cyber bullying by encouraging them to discuss and reflect on realistic scenarios. I have used this resource on different groups of students from year 7-10 and it has proven effective for all ages. Itā€™s interesting that each age group has brought out its own conversations from this resource. I find it shocking how many young people (especially those below the required age of 13 to even have a social media account) are suffering from cyber bullying online and donā€™t yet have the skills to handle it. This resource has made a significant difference to my students and I can only hope they go on to spread the word to others! I hope that my resources save you hours and hours of time: something we always sacrifice so much of as teachers. ā¤

Social Media Profile Templates: EDITABLE

Social Media Profile Templates - ā€˜all about meā€™ or write about fictional characters / famous people! The use of social media is very much a part of studentsā€™ lives in this day and age. Use this to your advantage in your lessons by encouraging them to tell you and their peers all about themselves at the beginning of the year or writing about a famous person or character from a book, using a format they love and are familiar with: social media! In this pack you will find ā€˜all about meā€™ templates for 3 different social media platforms and all text is editable. You can give all 3 for your students to complete as they each cover different elements, or you can pick and choose which they complete: the choice is yours, or theirs! You can use these to learn more about your students at the beginning of the year and first day of school. It is also helpful for other students to read these and learn more about each other and find common interests too! You could also use these for writing profiles of characters they are reading about in books, or for someone famous they are studying in class!

Getting to know you: ice breakers

This resource pack contains everything you need to help break the ice with your students. This would be ideal for any new class whether they are just new to you or even new to each other! Although it is great for the start of the academic year, many of us deal with casual admissions and students who join late in the year. These resources will be great for helping you get to know them better and for them to integrate into the group. You will find physical activities to get them up and about, moving and talking to one another and finding things in common, helping the group to improve their social skills in talking, bonding and making new friends. Enjoy getting your group of students to begin bonding and making friends!
