This activity includes a morning work book in two different difficulty levels and an editable PPT and Keynote file for you to create and add your own symbols/answers to be included with the easier option. A morning work book is a great way to encourage students to settle down and prepare them for the day ahead. It provides them with a consistent morning routine when used everyday and they know what to expect. This book will target some general day-to-day life skill questions that your students will hopefully begin to master with regular use. There are 3 different types of covers for the morning work books included for you to use as you wish. There are two difficulty levels included to differentiate for different student individual work levels. The harder work book is where students are able to write their answers - writing lines are provided. This resource contains a fun CVC game where students have to use a fishing rod to catch the matching CVC words on the fish. You will need to purchase/have a fishing rod to play this game. It is your personal preference how you use the rod with the fish, you can stick a paperclip to the back of the fish to use with a magnetic fishing rod or you can use a paper clip that sticks out past the fish mouth and bend up to be used with a grabber fish rod - as shown in the images. The fish each have a CVC word on them. At the bottom of the PDF file are flashcards with the images of CVC words on them. Students have to catch the fish that matches the CVC image on the flashcard that they have. It comes in b/w or col option for your preference. This is a fun activity that will keep your students engaged and focused while learning their CVC words. It contains a total of 4 different 'fish' images for each vowel - a,e,i,o,u. This resource contains 25 different animal matching poke cards. Students have to match the skin of the animal to the correct animal out of a choice of 3 below. Simply put an object/coffee stirrer etc. through the hole to select the answer. Students can self check their answers and also record their answers on a recording sheet. Instructions 1. Print out the cards onto card stock - 4 per page. 2. Laminate each of the cards. 3. Hole punch each of the cards on the + sign with a single-hole puncher. 4. Turn each card over and use a marker to circle the hole that corresponds with the correct answer. 5. (Optional) Hole punch each card in the upper left hand corner so that you can keep them altogether with a keyring. 6. Find coffee stirrers or cupcake picks for your students to use as ‘safe pokers’ An answer key is included for you to be able to check students answers quickly.
