Science Bingo - Grade 6, 7 and 8. Two versions of science bingo the first is larger and is suitable for a longer game of science bingo, it has 6 x 6 grids for the answers and associated clues. The second bingo set is 5 x 5 and more suitable for younger students.
DISCLAIMER: The larger bingo set has terms from teaching about the reproductive system. This could be removed or swapped if needed while the bulk of materials is likely to still suit use.

This is a unit plan for the IB MYP based on sustainable housing that also relates the NGSS and how that can be taught / covered at the same time as teaching this unit.
Students will use research to help them formulate design ideas, which will culminate in a design for a sustainable home (created as a 3D model using software of their choice). A successful final product requires a 3D walkthrough for the client to visualise and understand how the final design works. What features and deisgn considerations make this a sustainable home? Consider broadly all possible aspects of this endeavour, the sourcing of environmentally materials from sustainable sources, consider the market for this house and why people would buy it rather than a traditionally built home? Why are these commercially viable? What other considerations must we make? (Criteria A, B, C & D)
This unit also helps introduce the GRASPS technique to conduct assessments and students to grapple with almost any assessment that comes to them.

This is a project based Interdisciplinary unit planner that looks at Science and Design with regards to electricity and lightning as topics of interest.
This unit plan offers more than a dozen proposed STEM tasks that are aligned to different criteria (ABCD) and give students both choice and breadth of learning.
Students must complete at least one question from each disciplinary area of the STEM topics during the proposed project. Since the project learning offered by the teacher must specific at least one discipline that each question is firmly grounded within.
This IDU is project based learning and interdisciplinary learning at its best.
