This is a lesson on finding the area of sectors. It includes worked examples and an exercise on finding the area of sectors. Following this it includes worked examples and questions on finding the area of segments. Also included is an extension to work backwards and find the radius when given the sector area. Thanks to Daniel Burke for some of the worked examples on area of sectors, and others for providing some of the questions.

A decode the joke activity for Expanding one bracket with surds. Builds in difficulty to include negatives, adding surds, and simplifying surds. Makes a good self marking activity, and the sympathy laughs at the bad joke are always entertaining. Feedback would be great!

This is a matching card activity for adding and subtracting surds. The document attached has the answers and questions scrambled so that I can make the students cut it out! The answers are however also attached. If you fancy making it more challenging don't include some of the answers, or put in a few red herrings to throw them off! Feedback would be great!

A spot the error activity for rounding to significant figures, a collection of common errors, and students need to find the error, correct it, and explain what the student should have done. Might make a good plenary or consolidation activity. Feedback would be great!

This resource was created for a low ability class to revise and consolidate column addition, it builds in difficulty to include carrying, and also includes questions where they need to change the horizontal sums into a column sum.
