You can make the transitions easier by having a “training” session by the previous student to help the next student to do the job efficiently. If you want your students to become responsible while building a community spirit, give them responsibilities. Classroom Jobs are a great way for students to take responsibility for their classroom.

Classroom Rules This is a set of both positive and negative classroom behaviour sorting cards that can double up to create a reminder poster for young students. This is a way for them to recognize acceptable and unacceptable behaviours and to keep their behaviour in check. The cards can be used over and over or they can be permanently mounted either on the teacher’s desk facing the students or on the classroom wall or door. The teacher may choose to discuss each scenario depicted while students get an opportunity to place each one where they belong. Dolch Sight WordsPractice Dolch Phrase Cards For Building Reading Fluency-Set 2 This is Set 2 of Dolch Phrase Cards for Building Fluency. There are 90 individual phrase cards with 6 phrases on each card.  You can either cut them to make individual cards or you can leave them as is. Who is this for? These cards are great for the teaching of sequencing and narrative skills. This activity can help students grasp the idea that things happen in an order. Students build and sharpen their logical skills as they study the pictures and put them in order using sequencing words and numbers. These picture writing prompts with sequencing cards are great for young writers who need more support in early writing. Your students get an opportunity to use their visual discrimination skills to help them pay attention to details in pictures. They will write sentences about the picture. They also get to colour their pictures and sequence the sheets to create their own little book as a keepsake. Simply print the page/s and review the directions with them. Encourage them to write one or two sentences that describe the picture on any given sheet. I also included a blank writing sheet for extended writing should it be necessary.
