Crack The Safe - 3D Pythagoras and Trigonometry

(2)
Six questions with ten possible answers - students can self-mark these (if their answer is not an option they need to check their working). This involves 3D Pythagoras and trigonometry with a cuboid, a triangular prism and a square based pyramid. I would use this as a starter or plenary.
Constructions

Constructions

(1)
This (hopefully) does what it says on the tin: I wanted some sheets for students to construct triangles and bisectors so produced this. The constructions all fit in the boxes provided as long as you print them out on A4 paper. We start with constructing triangles, then bisectors, then a rhombus and a perpendicular line from a given point before finishing with couple of challenges (Yin-yang, incircle and circumcircle). Like I say, it is not designed to be flashy just practical.

What Was The Question? - Fractions, Decimals, Percentages Special

(4)
Four sets of four problems where students have the answer but there are blanks in the questions which require filling in. This is designed to create discussion in class and hopefully provided natural differentiation (find the general solution where possible compared to finding a single solution). I will be using these as starters or plenaries as I believe they will develop deeper understanding of topics, but feel free to use them as you like (you will as you don’t need me to hold your hand). Typos corrected (hopefully).
The Best Deal

The Best Deal

(2)
This is an exercise in finding the best way of buying what a customer wants given four different “deals” on pricing. You can buy more than required but not less which should add an extra bit of challenge. Workings are essential and I have provided answers on a separate slide each time. There are five to work out and this should lead to nice mathematical discussions. I have also put this in a format that could be used easily online if this is desirable.

X-Men Venn Diagrams

(5)
Moving quite quickly from placing data into Venn diagrams up to Venn diagram notation using common enemies of X-Men and Wolverine. Error corrected!
Co-ordinate Relationships

Co-ordinate Relationships

(3)
This is designed as a lead into equations of lines and links to previous work on function machines/sequences. Five sets of co-ordinates to find the relationship between x and y plus to fill in some blanks.
Solving Equations Matching

Solving Equations Matching

(2)
Four matching activities where students must join the equations that match the central cloud but also solve the ones that don't match. The four tasks get increasingly difficult. This is designed as a starter, plenary or discussion type exercise where you can pick a particular matching to suit your class. At it's most challenging there are fractions involved.
Speed-Time Graphs Codebreaker

Speed-Time Graphs Codebreaker

(1)
The usual stuff: answer the questions, find the punchline to a lame joke. This involves one speed-time graph and questions on acceleration and distance (area under the graph).

KS4 Maths Revision Worksheets Place Value & Negatives, Sequences, Bearings and Scales, Graphs é Charts, Factors, Multiples é Ratio, Equations é Formulae, Average é Range, Rounding. This is an attempt to make revision a little more interesting for those doing the modular OCR GCSE course. Calculate the answers, convert to letters and find my next destination on my 'Revision World Tour'.

Team Revision Tasks - Statistics 1 (Edexcel)

(3)
These are an attempt to break from the monotony of past papers in the run up to exam season. I have taken 2 questions from past papers and put them on one sheet; I will photocopy onto A3 for students to have a go in groups and discuss. The aims/rules etc are all listed if you wish to follow them and hopefully they all make sense. I have also provided answers.
Building Blocks - Percentage of a Number

Building Blocks - Percentage of a Number

(2)
Practice for the skills required to find a percentage of an amount; not difficult but designed for non-calculator use ultimately and checks skills such as multiplying and dividing by 100, decimals, converting between fractions, decimals and percentages before asking a few percentage of an number questions.
Cold Case - Negative Numbers

Cold Case - Negative Numbers

(1)
The second in my US crime drama series on negative numbers. Pretty simple stuff involving temperature differences and temperatures being "n times colder". No real need for the worksheet unless that's what you prefer as it's all on powerpoint.

What Was The Question? Easter Theme

(2)
The students are given the answer and asked to fill in the gaps in the question. Topics used involve probability, algebra, fractions, percentages, ratio, speed, distance, time and many others. Some of the questions allow for multiple answers so discussion could be had. Designed to be used as starters/plenaries to get the grey matter moving. The Easter theme runs through every question and is a tad tenuous at times but there you go.
