This document is to be used with a current events article or news story. Students will analyze the article/story by writing a description, creating a visual, making a prediction, and stating an opinion. This activity can be used with many grade levels and many subject areas.

This document includes two extended response questions to be used in a unit with a on the Industrial Revolution. There are 2 different questions and they are pasted on each document 4 times for easy printing and cutting for students. The resource is a great tool for quick assessment or entry/exit slips.
The extended response questions are:
Describe everything you know about the Industrial Revolution.What is it? Where did it occur? Who was involved? Time frame (years)? If you do not know any of this information, then make an inference. Write your answer in complete sentences. (3-4 sentences)
In a short paragraph (4-5 sentences) describe the changes that occurred because of the Industrial Revolution. Think about groups of people, government, and other institutions that were affected by the rise in industrialization. Finally, describe your opinion on these changes in terms of its effect on society.
