This set of comprehensions is about the world’s top footballers! It covers seven top footballers. The comprehensions are aimed at Year 2 (ages 6-7). There are three differentiated booklets. There are a range of ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘who’, ‘which’ and ‘why’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. The activity contains a title page with useful words followed by five pages with short written extracts to read and 3-5 questions per page. The higher ability booklet has 20 questions. The middle ability has 18 questions and the lower ability has 15 questions. Answers are also included. All of the PDF booklets are in the zip file. A collection of 3 SPaG activity booklets for year 2 with the theme of football, perfect for using during the 2018 football world cup. All three activities are based on the 2016/2017 SPaG SATs papers, but with appealing images and a football theme. Each activity contains 18 questions focussing on a range of punctuation and grammar. This includes tenses, sentence types, commas, question marks, full stops, apostrophes, nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. The children are asked to circle, tick, fill in the missing gap, match up words and write full sentences, with all questions based around football. This is a presentation on Florence Nightingale, the pioneering nurse who fought for more hygienic hospital conditions during the Crimean War. Use it as part of a lesson or for an assembly for KS1 or KS2. The presentation covers Florence’s childhood, early career, work during the Crimean War and ongoing legacy. This resource contains 7 comprehension activities all about the world’s top football players. They are suitable for using with year 1 or lower ability year 2. There are seven different footballers included: Lionel Messi Cristiano Ronaldo Kevin de Bruyne Harry Kane Vinícius Júnior Sam Kerr Aitana Bonmatí Each comprehension contains a short piece of text with words that can be predominantly sounded out. There are three trickier words which have pictures to help the children work out what they say. The text is followed by 5 simple questions. An enjoyable five day poetry unit to use with KS1 during the summer term. During the unit, children have the opportunity to read, study and learn two poems; one about water and one about the beach.
