This is a 5 lesson Literacy unit all about Edith Cavell. The plan is aimed at year 2 and gives details of the year 2 curriculum objectives covered. These Year 2 SATs style 'number, place value and sequences' revision questions are split into 3 differentiated levels. Each level contains 30 SATs style problems with answers. This is a plan and PowerPoint presentation for an assembly on The Last Supper, with a focus on the theme of betrayal. . The 5 page pdf plan is easy to follow and requires no resources, so is perfect for using at the last minute! I like leading assemblies that are interactive, engaging and relevant to the children’s lives. So, this assembly involves an anecdote about a childhood friend who betrayed you. This resource is designed to use with year 2 children in preparation for the SPaG SATs. The activity allows children to practise spelling problems; in particular suffixes, contractions and plurals, all of which came up in past SPaG papers.
