A whole lesson structure around hookes law good for low ability or entry level, starts with a video and then gets students to design a bungee rope for a toy using elastic bands, the toy must bungee off a table hit a bowl of water and then bounce back up, they can test it first. Also included is the results table and some plenary questions to help with conclusions, and a way of scoring the jumps

An 8 week homework project for science, encompassing a range of tasks, from watching a science video and reviewing it to producing a revision card on a subject they have been studying. Can fit any year group and covers a range of subjects, vould be adapted for any other subect in school too, pupils hand in work as they complete it, so is easily tracked and activiely engages them in work, i tried this at my school and got significantly more homework handed in and some really creative pieces of work completed

a lesson that looks at forces through the use of movie special effects, to show how science is applied in real life. Pupils start with a demonstration of sugar glass (how to make instructions and video and video of it breaking included) they then go on to look at and label the forces involved in a fight (hence the judo) and finally apply there forces knowledge to storyboarding an action scene for a movie. It is fully differentiated for all pupils and comes with help labels for lower ability pupils.

A planning sheet I made for the film canister rocket experiment, which is a fun end of term activity, but this is an experiment planning sheet that can be edited and used for any experiment, I have made an easier and harder version. I intend to print it A3 and give it to the pupils, thereby making a ready made display.

A crash testing experiment lesson we did using jelly babies as the crash test dummies, we built lego cars using the instructions added (these were built from a pick and mix selection at the lego store which cost £6 and built 6 cars), then added seatbelts (elastic bands), crumple zones (paper) and airbags (marshamllows large ones are best). A set of resources where pupils build a lego sleigh and reindeer and have to strap santa and his presents to it (santa is a christmas jelly baby) i will use paper and some blocks to be presents and offer elastic bands and string for harnesses. All lego instructions are included i bought all the lego at the lego store but it could be done with christmas decorations as easily. They will then harness the reindeer (the harness must pull 1kg) and test their fully loaded sled in a wind tunnel (basically a cardboard box and a hair dryer) to ensure that santa can survive. A north pole U certificate is included for pupils who successfully complete the challenges

A simple lens lesson for the let there be light topic. Includes an eye diagram to label, simple experiments and some how to see colour questions at the end. Differentiation is done with an extension as a purple star.

For this you need some santa's (i used santa babies) then you need 3 long boxes of different lengths and widths these would be the chimneys, pupils could be given elastic bands, string and lego and they have to devise how to get santa down all the chimneys safely. the worksheet is included as well as a north pole university certificate for a reward

A set of physics objectives for a number of the OCR entry level science modules. These are designed as a pupil assessment sheet to be stuck in at the start of a module and reviewed half way and at the end of a topic. There is also a small self assessment section where they can record there test result and do a what went well and how they can improve.
