This unit is all about programming and will get students to learning the basics of Python with an additional unit to build on this later on. Morning, before lockdown I created a large project to be delivered at KS3. It’s divided into three stages: LO1 - Creating a 2D game using Python Turtle LO2 - Creating a video game cover for the game they created using Photoshop LO3 - Creating a leaflet to go with the game which gives tips on how to game safely online. It was designed to cover all strands: Computer Science, ICT (with a big focus on Creative iMedia/Digital Media and E-Safety. This pack includes tutorials that teach students how to use a wide range of tools in isolation. Each video is designed to no longer than one minute in length (not always been possible) A cue card supplements each video. Asset used in the tutorial is also available. This will make up a full set available for a wide range KS4 courses aswell as useful for KS3. The tutorials are doing in Photoshop CC, but the cue cards provide additional instructions for using older versions of Photoshop and alternative packages such as Photopea.
