There is then a Starter in which students have to unscramble the letters to create the numbers. Then the method for writing and reading large numbers is discussed and examples given on the slides. This leads into questions displayed on screen which learners can complete on mini whiteboards. At this point learners look at laminated news headlines placed around the room and answer the questions on the worksheet that accompanies the task There is then a plenary task on election results to complete assess learning.
