With this NO PREP WEBQUEST and TASKS (answer key included) students learn about the Religion, Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt, and their fascinating and complex systems of belief. Students research and complete questions on: Religion Ma’at The Heliopolitan Creation Myth Some of the more well-known gods: Amun, Ra, Isis, Thoth, Anubis, Osiris, Horus, Sekhmet, Bastet, Hathor and Apopis. The Role of the Pharaoh in Religion The Heretic Pharoah There is a VOCABULARY TASK, based on vocab within the task. The vocab items are: polytheistic, clergy, primordial, mound, pantheon, theriomorphic, supreme, intermediary, homage, heretic, and ascended. The final task, could be done as a CLASS/GROUP TASK. Students research one Egyptian god or goddess, which they can choose from a list on the second last page. They then complete the last page with the name of the god/goddess, a picture or drawing of this god/goddess, and three facts about this god or goddess. They share it with the class and can then create a part of the Egyptian pantheon on the class wall.
