DT Cover Work - Design a Workshop Poster
Single worksheet ideal for a cover lesson or as homework.
Activity requires students to identify and understand the safety symbols around a DT workshop, write health and safety rules and use this information to design a workshop poster.

DT Cover Lesson - Design a Cover Activity
This activity involves students designing a new cover for an existing DVD, CD or book of their choice.
Templates for each are provided, along with a section for the students to write about what DVD, CD or book they have chosen, what it is about and who the target market is.
Before designing, students are encouraged to analyse a DVD cover for The Incredibles and identify key features on the cover.
Ideal resource for cover work or as part of a scheme of work.

Analysis of an Existing Product Worksheet
This is a fully editable power-point slide that can be used to analyse and existing product.
In the current example, students are encouraged to analyse a kid’s clock and re-design/modify it to suit a adult target market.
