This resource helps children identify nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. It contains 4 posters (adjectives, adverbs, nouns and verbs) and two worksheets. The first worksheet explains what each type of word is before testing the children with the activity. There is an extension at the end of the sheet for students to practice putting the words in sentences. If you are not familiar with Quizlet is allows the children to practice the words interactively on flashcards, test if they can spell the words correctly by playing the game Gravity and also allows them to match the meaning to the word. It is about s child trying to include all the poetic techniques they have learned but they are finding the task difficult. Without knowing they include all the techniques required. Techniques include alliteration, rhyme, metaphor, simile and personification. The power point explains alliteration, similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, rhyme and repetition and gives examples of each.
