Demonstrative Adjectives Spanish PowerPoint Battleship Game-Ernesto Clases Divertidas Description: This game has eight slides with target boards that have the ships in different places so you can play with up to eight individual players or eight teams. You can also play with the same class eight times to keep the players guessing where the ships are. The target board slides have target menus with links to thirty-two targets (multiple-choice questions). The game includes an introductory slide with the topic, an instruction slide, a missile aborted slide, a missile launched slide, and a victory celebration slide for a total of forty-five slides. All of the slides have different sounds triggered by a button or moving to the slide. How to Play: If you play with teams, each team must select a team captain that will call out coordinate selections and give answers for the group. With each turn the captain can be rotated to keep all players involved. Each board slide has a target menu at the top where players can select one of the thirty-two multiple choice questions that correspond with the intersecting coordinate squares below. Clicking on one of the menu boxes will take players to the corresponding question. Players will take turns calling out and selecting a question coordinate. If the correct answer is given, the player is automatically directed to the missile launched slide. If the wrong answer is given, they are directed to the missile aborted slide. This takes out any guesswork as to whether the answer is correct or incorrect. With correct answers players can move to another player’s/team’s board to attempt a hit. With incorrect answers players/teams relinquish control to the next player/team. Every game slide has a target board menu with icons for all eight boards. This allows players to move back and forth to any board easily. Notes: We use the same target words and phrases on all of the resources created for one topic. This is done intentionally to reinforce the basic vocabulary and grammar structures for each topic. Therefore, you can use our worksheets, board and card games, exams and other PowerPoint games and presentations as complimentary activities for this game.
