I used this assembly with Year 1 children and we shared the story 'The Little Mermaid.' We also shared facts we had found out and the children acted out their own story and sang seaside themed songs and poems.
This is an assembly I used with Year 1 children. We share information we have found out about different minibeasts then act out the story 'The very greedy bee.' Songs are from cbeebies or out of the ark -minibeasts CD
I used these plans with Year 1 children. They involved an outdoor lesson where the children created their own story boxes and then photographed different scenes to make a powerpoint. Included is a detail observed lesson plan and some of our finished stories.

This 2 weeks planning is linked to the Gruffalo. There is Lit/Num plans - 2 lessons for each week and skills planning for the other areas of the classroom. There is also a couple of worksheets.
A weeks plan linked to dragons, Children find signs of a dragon in the outdoor area, They then discover an egg and write about what it could be. A witness also spots the dragon so children write interview questions and then a report about what the witness saw.
This includes 3 weeks Literacy planning. Involves making posters, writing a letter, writing a new story, retelling story, acting out a story and writing a script.
