Lesson 4 Who suffers most from deforestation?
This lesson investigates the causes and impacts of deforestatation within a TRF. Students start by looking at the reason deforestation takes place, ranking the needs. Then students investigate the impacts using the SEE scale and exploring two locations, Australia and Indonesia.

Who are we?
Want a scheme of learning that engages students while introducing them to the fundamentals of secondary school geography? This unit explores the UK’s human and physical geography and is designed to adapt year 7 students to the subject during the first term. The later parts of the unit investigates the impact of population, migration, industry change and tourism on the UK.

This bundle consists of the ten lessons that make up the scheme of learning entitled ‘oceans on the edge’. The unit encourages students to explore our oceans. The begin by looking at the characteristics of oceans before studying their importance. Then students discover the beauty of oceans ecosystems and how they are being managed. towards the end of the topic students will learn how oceans are under threat and what this might mean for their sustainability.

Biomes on the edge
This topic explore two biomes that are under pressure. The first series of lessons focus on the structure of both rainforests and coral reefs before exploring their values, threats and how they are both being managed. Students are challenged throughout the scheme by a variety of learning strategies such as problem solving, memory tasks, ranking and prioritising, flip learning, evaluation and considered judgement.
