Despite their unusual lifestyle and their worries about the dangerous animals that live nearby, they are a happy lot and are not even remotely interested in upgrading to a brick-built dwelling. However, when the youngest daughter wanders off one day, Mrs. Laces has to make a very brave decision indeed.
