Spelling Detectives Intervention Phase 3 Spelling KS1
I have created this intervention for KS1 classes for a group intervention. This is designed for children who have gaps in Phase 3 spelling skills. Look out for my Phase 5 version too! This is a whole terms intervention and I have seen amazing results from using these plans with small groups of children. I suggest doing a phase 3 spelling test and then picking the plans suited to the group to tailor the intervention.

One is a snail Ten is a Crab Problem Solving Activity
Based on the known book “One is a snail Ten is a Crab” - children are introduced to animals with 3 legs, 7 legs, 13 legs, 20 legs etc and are given a series of challenges to extend from this idea in the book.
Numbers and Patterns in EYFS

Questions to Support Children in Play
I have created questions to support children in every area of the basic provision from role play to water play, outdoors to the reading corner. These are based on Blooms Questions so support children with higher order thinking.
Effective Transition in EYFS and beyond
This bundle includes a presentation on effective transition which can be shared with staff or parents. As part of our transition programme we question the children on their interests and concerns about moving settings. I have included this in the bundle. There is also a whole setting transition planner to remind all parties about their role in supporting children in their transitions.
Guided Reading for the Early Years
I created these texts to support children when introducing them to guided reading. They are texts based around book bands pink - blue. I would share these in a group - maybe give them a page each or create mini booklets and then after the guided session would display these books/ posters in the provision to encourage independent reading. There are books on space, pets, winter and adding up. Please use this template also to create your own!!
