Hi all,
I'm a Science and Chemistry specialist who has been teaching for over 20 years. I've put on free resources as well as over 50 cut-price but brill paid for resources.
This is a your Science and Chemistry one stop shop!
And its great!!!
Hi all,
I'm a Science and Chemistry specialist who has been teaching for over 20 years. I've put on free resources as well as over 50 cut-price but brill paid for resources.
This is a your Science and Chemistry one stop shop!
And its great!!!
This is a introductory powerpoint that takes you through all the basic Mole work
It has the Moles = Mass/ Mr equation explained in full with several example and then follow up questions.
The equation has been manipulated in further examples.
Go over Molar Ratio link to balanced equations. This is then linked to the moles equations.
A set method to help work out these questions is covered which I have found really useful for all levels. Then there are worked examples and then worked questions at the end.
Overall a nice section of work for this topic in all GCSE spec's.
This is a series of lesson.
Has 3 lessons on metals, displacement and redox with linked worksheets and options of activities in the lessons.
Then leads to 3 Acid and neutralisation lessons with different possible experiments and linked worksheets.
For KS3 or KS4 students.
will cover all the main aspects on the KS3 national curriculum on these areas.
A selection of work for the new AQA course GCSE chemistry or combined science
Linked series of 4 lessons with pwpt resourse and linked worksheets
On states of matter and solution
great for a Yr 9 group to prepare for GCSE
This is a basic structural isomer pwpt which then has linked worksheet for the students to fill in and graded question to follow
simple but effective
enjoy
This is a full pwpt taking through 4-5 lessons of work in the current C3 and NEW AQA C 7.
Has information, diagrams, practical links , extension tasks, examples and questions.
Would suggest part are printed of and used as worksheets as well as attached past exam paper question
Enjoy
This is 3-4 lessons worth of work.
Starts with a recap of ionic bonding and then goes into work on what is going on in electrolysis.
Has various activity working tasks as well as examples on PbBr2 , useful to have this as Demo for this part. Then questions on other examples. So
Add extension work with open questions on how this would work with Zinc Chloride to link with work in AQA Oxford text book
Goes on to add ionic half equation in the work as well.
enjoy.
This pwpt takes you through the whole section of work on Analysis
Has links to practical activities and results
Overview sheets and keys for the many practical tests needed.
The simple question sheet I find is nice starter cut up and students have to get one at a time.
Lots of the pwpt can be printed of to give to students and would enhance the teaching of this for many classes.
Adapt and develop as required as well.
Enjoy.
This is a 3-4 series of lessons with all you need to cover the Electrolysis of solutions.
It has full theory for higher and foundation level with work on electrode reactions, rules for what formed at positive and negative electrode.
Worked example through all the pwpt .
Enjoy!
This is a nice lesson with a simple 'student participation drama' piece of work that helps the students appreciate the difference between complete and incomplete combustion.
Enjoy
This is a 2-3 lesson pwpt which helps explain diffusion
Has link to HCl and NH3 demo which help extend this work to include atomic masses and speed of diffusion.
This is a FULL topic teaching or review resource.
Relevant for the old and NEW spec
I have integrated loads of past paper questions and markscheme answers alongside the exemplars and tasks built into the work.
Have attached a couple of worksheets for filling in the information required as well as an option in the pwpt itself.
Also a nice little T/F question sheet for a starter or plenary.
Enjoy
This is a full 19 page pwpt to cover the Electrochemical cells final part of the A2 topic.
It has notes and diagrams for students to use as well as integrated exam question full exam answers and some helpful hints alongside.
Easy to personalise or use straight away.
Have also included a worksheet of practice questions for when topic finished.
Enjoy!
This is an initial booklet covering some recap of GCSE work and introduction to various acid theories, has a linked pwpt ( can be made into another booklet if wanted) to cover Acid/ base reactions.
Then has two 15+ slide pwpt on basic A level acid base theory.
One covers all work on pH and pOH with notes, tasks and integrated past exam questions and answers with exemplar ideas for the answers as well.
Second covers Kw and all linked work on this section of the topic with notes, tasks and integrated past exam questions all with answers and exemplar ideas.
Link mostly to AQA but OCR the same , Enjoy!
This is a 10 slide pwpt to take students through completing a Titration
Has ideas linked to use of pipette, burette and the titration itself
A 9 step annotated approach to the write up to ensure all key points are highlighted
The worked examples for the calculations and extra questions to practice this work.
Nice little resource to take 2-3 lessons
Enjoy
This is a full pwpt ( 19 + slide) with all you could need to teach this section of the Acid Base topic.
There is a full Theoretical start to the work. Worked through examples and then past paper questions with their specific markscheme's.
It has the AQA spec statements to be completed but could be adapted to OCR or Edexcel easily enough.
Enjoy
There are 6 different resources in this pack.
3 on Fundamental particles and 3 on Limestone.
A jeopardy simple starter or plenary worksheet
A Taboo game with instructions on how to use for the class
A 20 question grid where you can make the students into TEAMS to choose their question and they will be directed there , you can then go back to the overview grid for the other teams.
They are all TRIED and TESTED and most of the student s find them FUN and engaging.
Hopefully a with REVISION and variation to make the students think and challenge themselves.
