Hello and thanks for popping by. I am currently working in a fantastic SEN school. I have worked teaching little minds from EYFS to 18 years old. I have taught inner city, EAL, high FSM/PP, and across many ages in different role. I love working with children! I hope my resources manage to save time and encourage children to think creatively. Here is a resource I created to help support the teaching of real words and alien words. The 2nd and 3rd page can be laminated and placed back to back to use with a white board pen during phonics lessons. You can also do the same with the smaller cards and ask the children or child to show you if the word is an alien word or a real word. Activity Idea This resource can be used by turning the cards over and asking the children taking part to select a random card. Ask them to count how many beans they can see on their card and write the number in the bean tin. After compare the selected cards and ask the children to say who has the most and who has the fewest/ least. I hope this saves you some time and if you find the time please leave a review.
