Hello and thanks for popping by. I am currently working in a fantastic SEN school. I have worked teaching little minds from EYFS to 18 years old. I have taught inner city, EAL, high FSM/PP, and across many ages in different role. I love working with children! I hope my resources manage to save time and encourage children to think creatively. The children I have taught so far have loved them and I hope yours do too. Thanks for viewing or buying and please leave reviews if you find the time.

Lost and Found Story Map and Activity Sheets

Here is the story map i used with my class to help teach the story Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. At the end of the teaching sequence the children completed an assessed independent write changing parts of the story, such as the animal or the transport used to travel. My class loved seeing the story maps on the wall to decorate our classroom and constantly retold the story. I have also added some extra worksheets i used to help build up writing skills and sentence structure with my class before they completed their big write. I hope this helps and if you find the time please can you leave a review. Many Thanks.

This resource has been made to allow children the freedom to chose which task they would like to complete every morning. The word mat can be printed back to back and laminated. There are two slightly different styled mats depending on if you would like to concentrate on one common exception word for the day or have a display of words in your classroom. The power point can also be adapted to suit the needs of your class. Thank you for downloading and if you find the time please leave a review.

Strengths and Characteristics board game

There are multiple ways to play this game. When you land on a word you can use words or a picture to describe what it means. If you are unsure see if you can search the meaning of the word using an iPad or laptop. To make it more fun see if you can research the word in less than one minute or see if another player can research the word faster than you can. OR When you land on a word read the word and if you think it is a strength you have write it on the person, if you don’t thing it’s your strength write it on the cross. If you think this might be another person’s strength share the idea with them. OR Make your way around the board and write down each word you land on. When you get to the end look at your list and see if you can pick a word and say how you can use it at some point in the week. E.G Organised- I will make sure I remember to bring my pencil case to every lesson. Thank you for taking the time to download if you find the time please leave a review.
