If your little learners are learning about addition and subtraction then these cards would be ideal for math centers. There are 40 cards in total, 20 addition and 20 subtraction, focusing on the numbers 0-10 and designed in red Candyland theme colors to complement the Candyland classroom decor also available. The questions support the Math Curriculum and standards to be met.
Each card has a cotton candy visual representation rather than a number, consolidating previously learned counting skills before adding them or subtracting them to find an answer. These cards are versatile, they can be enlarged using your printer settings to create flashcards for larger groups of children, or printed as they are currently designed, to create a math center activity. If you laminate them after printing, youngsters can write on them with a dry wipe pen, or simply copy them onto paper or in their notebook.

Help learners secure their understanding of negative numbers using a real life context through world climates. With this activity, students compare the temperature of two countries using the relevant math symbols of < > or =. Engage your learners with this pumpkin themed math center activity, offering value for money due to its versatility. There are 22 A4 pages included in the pdf download, a sheet of suggested activities, a sheet containing 3 grass strips and 20 pages of pumpkins with different number values (to 1200) and math symbols. This resource is great for supporting the math curriculum and topics of number and place value for first and second grade students (Y1-Y3 UK). With the new term happening soon, get your math centers ready for the unit of place value. This resource is versatile and can be used for counting to 120, ordering numbers, sequencing, identifying more than and less than using symbols, doubling and halving. It also offers the opportunity for simple addition and subtraction within 120. It’s great value for money!
To engage children, the resource consists of mini school buses with numbers 1-120, an A4 page with 3 simple road tracks and an activity suggestion page. Make learning about our continents engaging and fun with this hands on creative activity. Children can order the size of the continents, name them, add surrounding oceans and identify countries within in them. There is scope to add more facts in order to differentiate tasks.
This no prep activity consists of 7 circles with each of the continents inside them. Learners need to lay the circles on top of each other in size order to create the booklet and attach them with a split pin. From here, they can see the size order of the continents and they can begin to identify them and add relevant facts.
