French Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns - 75 Practice Cards

(0)
French Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns - 75 Practice Cards 75 cards to practice using French direct and indirect object pronouns in three different tenses. These practice cards focus on using: LE - LA - LES - LUI - LEUR. These practice cards will help students better understand when to use LE or LA to mean HIM or HER instead of LUI, and LES to mean THEM instead of LEUR. Each card indicates the tense to be used: présent, passé composé, futur proche Each card indicates a subject pronoun, verb in the infinitive form, and another word or words to complete the sentence. Students first form a sentence using the elements provided, then they restate the sentence using either a direct or indirect object pronoun. A two page answer key is provided. I recommend printing them on the front and back side of one sheet of paper so that you can easily distribute them to students so that they can check their work. This is an activity that students can work on alone or in pairs or small groups. My students really like to do this activity with a partner. One student says the sentence without the pronoun, then the other one says it with the pronoun. They take turns going back and forth. ** EXAMPLES:** PRÉSENT - JE - PARLER - MARIE Je parle à Maris. Je lui parle. PASSÉ COMPOSÉ - TU - MANGER - PIZZA Tu as mangé la pizza. Tu l’as mangée. FUTUR PROCHE - VOUS - FINIR - DEVOIRS Vous allez finir vos devoirs. Vous allez les finir.

L'heure - Telling Time in French - 12 & 24 Hour Clock Battleship Games - BUNDLE

2 Resources
L’heure - Telling Time in French - 12 & 24 Hour Clock Battleship Games - BUNDLE Use this classic game format to have your students practice telling time in French using 12 hour and 24 hour clocks. These are NO PREP activities, just print and go. 10 versions of the game are included in this bundle. Students randomly place ships on their grid at the top of the sheet by drawing filled in circles. The number of circles for each of their six battleships is indicated at the top of the page. As they try to discover the location of their opponent’s ships, they use the grid on the bottom of the sheet to keep track. Instructions are provided in English on each page. Have a look at the preview to see what these games look like. A list of hours is written in the left column, and minutes are written on the top in numeric form. Students randomly match the hours on the left with minutes at the top. There is not an answer key included with this resource due to the number of possible responses. These games will give your students a chance to use vocabulary for telling time with a 12 hour clock such as: et quart, moins le quart, et demie, moins vingt, etc. The set which uses the 24 hour clock will be a good reminder not to use that vocabulary and to say the actual numbers. How to play: Print out one page of the version of this game that you want to use per student. Students draw circles to represent their boats on the grid at the top of the game board. Students play against each other to try to find and eventually sink their opponent’s boats. Eight hours are written in the vertical column and minutes are written in the boxes at the top. To choose a square, the player must say an hour on the left along with minutes at the top. All of the vocabulary they’ll need is written right on the game sheet. Each game sheet includes two battleship grids, one for the student and one for keeping track of guesses.

Students practice using regular and irregular verbs in the subjunctive, and the English translations provided on the answer key will be most helpful as they come across new vocabulary and ways of saying things. None of the English translations begin with It is necessary that, because that isn’t the best way to say these sentences in English. Students will gain better knowledge of why the subjunctive is used by working with so many different examples. Included: 50 practice cards Answer key in French and English

It features key French expressions like: “Ça sent bon ici!” “Il a l’air triste.” “Ça m’est égal.” “Merci, c’est gentil.” “Cela fait du bien de parler avec vous.” “Cela me semble juste.” These expressions are embedded in the text, allowing students to practice making inferences, connections, and predictions. If students find it too fast at first, let them read along while listening, and then try listening without the text. Listening Comprehension - Questions Audio Recording: After the text, students will hear questions read aloud, with a bell tone and a brief pause to give their answers. This helps them practice listening and responding in real time. Listening Comprehension - Open-Ended Questions Worksheet: This worksheet allows students to write their answers to the spoken questions. For a more interactive experience, you can have them answer orally instead. Reading Comprehension - Open-Ended Questions Worksheet: With the text in front of them, students answer questions in complete sentences, helping them to better understand and express their thoughts in French. Reading Comprehension - Multiple Choice Questions Worksheet: This worksheet offers a multiple-choice format for students who might need a bit more support, making it easier to find the correct answers. Cloze Activity - Fill in the Blanks: Students listen to the audio and fill in the missing words in the text. A word bank is provided, and you can use the original text as the answer key. English Translation of Text + Multiple Choice Quiz Answer Key: An English translation of the text is included for reference, along with the answer key for the multiple-choice quiz. While the translation is helpful, the focus is on understanding the French text. How to Use: For best results, start with the reading activities so students become familiar with the text. After a few days or the following week, use the same material for listening practice. This will help reinforce what they’ve learned and improve their overall language skills. Advanced French Grammar: 50 Pronoun Challenge Cards

(0)
❖ Advanced French Grammar: 50 Pronoun Challenge Cards ❖ These 50 cards will provide your advanced French students a good challenge while practicing and reviewing pronouns. Many resources only include basic pronouns and don’t offer enough of a challenge. This is why I’ve created this set of cards. Each card includes instructions, a sentence to restate or rewrite using pronouns where indicated, a list of the types of pronouns students can choose from, and the answer is located upside down at the bottom of each card. This will allow students an opportunity to either work individually or in small groups and check their work as they go. Each card is numbered in case you decide to play a game and need that, but otherwise there is no order in which the cards must be used. I’ve laminated my set so that I can pull them out time and again for a quick pronoun review. There are enough of them that students won’t necessarily see the same ones over and over every time you pull them out. Great for test review or for seniors after a long break. Click here for more French pronoun resources. The following types of French pronouns are covered in this resource: ⭐Reflexive pronouns ⭐Disjunctive pronouns ⭐Indirect object pronouns ⭐Direct object pronouns ⭐Adverbial pronouns ⭐Relative pronouns ⭐Demonstrative pronouns ⭐Possessive pronouns

Here’s what’s included: Video tutorial - 23 minutes Thorough 1 page study guide - PDF 80 practice cards using FALLOIR + numbered answer key This resource includes two versions of the 80 practice cards. One version has four cards per page that you can print and cut them out in case you want your students to work with a partner or in small groups. This resource includes a video lesson which you may or may not choose to use, but even if you want to teach the lesson yourself I think you and your students will appreciate the one page study guide that is included. I’ve put all of the important information from my video lesson on it as well as some helpful hints. The 80 practice cards will help students to know how to talk about what they must do, what they have to do, and what they need.

French Imperfect Tense Verb Race Game Verb Race is a fun and very exciting way to practice imperfect conjugations. Your students are going to love this set of 75 French verbs to use in the fast moving verb race game. This set includes 75 common -ER, -IR and -RE verbs. Classic verb race involves dividing the class into teams and one person from each team goes up to the board to conjugate faster than everyone else. I’ve included full instructions, tips and rules with this resource. Verb Race has always been a huge favorite in my classroom. In classic Verb Race it is usually the teacher who moderates the game, but in the instructions I’ll explain in great detail how you can play a student led game so that even your weakest students can participate and learn a ton. You can easily make a stack of -ER, -IR and -RE verbs using them as separate games until all three sets have been learned at which point you can put them back into one big stack.
