On the poster there are eight different ways to represent the number - word, base 10, ten frame, objects, tally, fingers, place value counters, dice face. I am encouraging children to use different ways to represent a number so that they understand the value each number rather than just recognising.

Cut the equations up and then screw up into a popcorn pieces for the children to open and then glue into their books. My children loved it!
