Unseen Poetry: Introduction Worksheet on Poetry: 'The Mirror.'
A worksheet to introduce KS3 or KS4 students to what to initially look for when they first read a poem.
There are questions on the sheet to prompt them to read the poem and then answer the questions including:
What the poem is about
Why certain words and phrases are used
What the mood and atmosphere of the poem is
Who the narrator of the poem is.
I have purposely left out the title of the poem, as I wanted my group to guess what the object ( the mirror) is.
