A fun and engaging card game based on 2D shapes (basic geometry skills). Perfect for a plenary, end of lesson filler, whole class activity or consolidation task. Each shape is paired with a colour and the words of both the colour and the shape are written on each card to help children with their reading skills. There are 32 cards - enough for a whole class activity. It can also be played in smaller groups and each pupil is given more than one card, or some can be taken out. A great game to play with younger children for Anti-bullying week / Odd Sock Day Simply trim the cards and hand out to children. You can either play a whole class game where children must find their matching sock partner, but beware someone will have an odd sock (unless you choose not to give out the odd sock). OR, play a snap type game in smaller groups. You could turn over one card at a time or two cards. If the child spots a pair they get to keep them.
