Gap fill graduated 'combien de... and il y a ...' worksheet for KS2. This worksheet is to introduce pupils to the expression &'combien de&'; and 'il y a&' The images chosen are black and white and therefore will photocopy clearly. Children can be given instructions of what colour to colour the different objects. There is plenty of space for pupils to write in the missing words.

Taking the opportunity to use an Easter scene to spot the difference between two pictures. Reinforces Easter vocabulary (in French, but could be used for German/Spanish in fact any language) prepositions/weather/numbers. 'High Street&' scene of shops and buildings in a town. Questions ask &';where is...?' Simple &'gap-fill&'; exercise to practice the use of du/de la and de l' when using the propositions: à côté de/près de and en face de. Worksheet also uses the preposition &'entre&';. The final question has been left blank fot the students to fill in and give an answer. I found this to be useful for reinforcing town vocabulary together with prepositions.
