The 19 slide presentation explains why we will have a new Prime Minister, who the other candidates were, information about the Queen's role, facts about Theresa May, who she has chosen as her main cabinet, who she sacked and some information on the new Education Secretary. Simple sheet, cut into three, give purple to working towards, green to working within, blue to working above. They copy sums into their books.

Children given piles of story books. In small groups read the books and pick out any exciting words. Write the words in the treasure box.

In line with the Year 3 Maths objective, 'tell and write the time from an analogue clock, including using Roman numerals from I to XII.' Two differentiated activity sheets, where pupils must read the time and put the hands in the correct place on the clock. Perfect resource for an assembly or lesson. 14 slides, which cover: -What an election is. -Who can vote. -How people vote. -What people are voting for on 5th May 2016. There is also a debate topic and quiz (10 questions) at the end of the presentation. I have aimed the resource at Y5-Y8 but the presentation can easily be adapted to suit younger or older years. Fun group signs with a table points chart for each and mini labels, which can be used to stick on pupils' books or as tokens in a behaviour management strategy.
