Created for new specification AQA psychology. Lesson goes through the social and dispositional factors influencing prosocial behaviour and bystander intervention. Application activity for students to apply their knowledge to scenarios. Students can then write a report on the murder of kitty Genovese addressing the factors covered. *One activity requires the Old gcse psychology textbook but this can be missed. Approx - 60 min lesson. Although planning and writing the newspaper article could also be another 60 min.

The lesson goes through the social and dispositional factors in relation to crowd and collective behaviour. Desgined for high ability Y9 GCSE psychology students following the AQA new specification. Students will need internet access to find their locus of control (could be done as HW). The lesson ends with watching the film "suffragette" and creating a newspaper article. Created as a revision lesson for Y12 and Y13 psychology students studying the AQA psychology specification. It goes through the importance of statistical testing, type 1 and type 2 errors, levels of measurement, before going through the sign test and chi -square. The sign test is delivered using a chocolate experiment but this can be tweaked and your own results entered. Use the powerpoint along with a booklet to allow students to make notes and answer exam style questions. It comes with a lesson plan as it was for an observation. Price reflects the time and effort that went into making this. Approx 60 min lesson-90 min lesson.

Created to address the phobias section of AQA AS specification for Unit 2. Bundle contains 3 lessons (approx 3-4 hours). Also useful for Y13 revision. Lesson 1: Characteristics of phobias -Students watch an episode of Extreme Phobias, Extreme Cures to complete the emotional, cognitive and behavioural characteristics of phobias (students enjoyed this) Lesson 2: Behaviourist explanation of phobias - two process model. Includes evaluation (SLT, Preparedness etc). Lesson 3: Behaviourist treatments (flooding and SD). Student task is to create an information leaflet. Evaluation is included throughout and the episodes of the programme are really good for discussion the characteristics, explanation and treatments as well as definitions of abnormality. All information is on powerpoint so good for non-specialists also. Lots of videos - links in notes section.

Use in combination with the powerpoint to guide students on the criteria needed to conduct the sign test, calculating the sign value and writing whether the results are significant enough. Also includes practice questions to apply knowledge at the end (approx 1h 30 worth of material). Excellent for non-specialists.
